Emily Malkauskas Joins Firm as an Assistant Biologist

May 5, 2017 —Monterey, CA.

EMC Planning Group is proud to announce Emily Malkauskas has joined its team as an assistant biologist. She specializes in biological reconnaissance field surveys, focused special-status wildlife and plant surveys, habitat assessments, riparian resource management, regulatory agency permitting, construction monitoring including nesting bird surveys and environmental awareness training, and biological compliance monitoring. She analyzes project impacts to biological resources, develops mitigation measures to avoid/minimize such impacts, prepares detailed technical reports, and assists with project management tasks.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Malkauskas was employed as a research technician for a private consulting firm and as a biologist at the Santa Clara Valley Water District. In these positions, she conducted field surveys for special-status species, provided extensive environmental compliance monitoring, and prepared daily reports in support of several projects.

Ms. Malkauskas received her Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Conservation Biology from the University of New Hampshire at Durham, New Hampshire.
