Cris Staedler, AICP - Senior Principal
Cris joined the firm in 1985 after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara in Environmental Studies with a specialization in Geography. He also spent two years studying Business Economics.
Within a few years, Cris was promoted to Planning Manager and held this position until 1997. During this time, he performed extensive land use and environmental planning including resource and constraint identification and analysis, preparation of area plans and master plans, preparation of environmental documents (including initial studies, environmental assessments, and environmental impact reports), procedural planning services and permit processing.
Promoted to Principal in 1997, he took on a greater role in the day to day operation of the firm. He is now the firm’s controller overseeing all phases of business operations and performance including physical plant, information systems, communication systems, accounting systems, contracting, insurance, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, taxation, investments and benefits.
In 2005, Cris was promoted to Senior Principal. He currently maintains professional certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and is a member of the American Planning Association (APA) and Urban Land Institute (ULI).
