Anna Bornstein, MUP
Associate Planner
Ms. Bornstein joined EMC Planning Group as an Associate Planner in March 2023.
Her areas of expertise are land use planning, client service, and project management.
Ms. Bornstein previously worked as a planner for a design-build firm in Carmel, CA where she managed planning, building, and entitlement applications for luxury residential projects. She conducted site inspections, determined feasibility, and ensured that all projects adhered to jurisdictional zoning, ordinances, codes, and design guidelines.
She has demonstrated experience communicating with project stakeholders, and collaborating with consultants providing technical services, to drive projects to completion. Prior employment experience also includes over 8 years with E&J Gallo Winery in Modesto, California where she specialized in account management.
Ms. Bornstein earned a Masters in Urban Planning (MUP) in May 2022 and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies with a Minor in Urban Studies in 2010. Both educational degrees were awarded from San José State University. Coursework included urban planning public finance, land use law, urban design, GIS, planning for sustainable cities, advanced environmental impact assessment, and land use and facilities planning
